Ile-aux-foins Nature Park is a coastal green space on the Acadian Peninsula, centered around a striking lighthouse painted in the blue, white, and red of the Acadian flag, making it one of the more distinctive lighthouse subjects in Atlantic Canada. The lighthouse works well as a standalone subject with a wide or standard lens, but also rewards tighter compositions that isolate the bold color bands against an overcast sky or calm bay water. Position yourself low near the shoreline to reflect the structure in tidal pools or wet sand, and use the surrounding trails to find angles that layer the lighthouse against the open Gulf of St. Lawrence. Overcast days soften the light and make the colors pop without harsh shadows, though golden hour adds warmth that complements the red and white paintwork nicely. The park is easy to walk and access on foot. (Bertrand, New Brunswick, Canada)
