This 19th-century railroad tunnel offers a compelling symmetrical shot from either portal, where the arched stone entrance frames a perfect circle of light at the far end. The interior gives you a strong central composition, with the curved brick ceiling, moss-covered walls, and twin rails converging toward a bright vanishing point. Position yourself just inside the entrance to expose for the far opening, letting the tunnel walls fall into dramatic shadow on either side. A wide-angle lens works well here to emphasize the depth and curvature of the stonework. Overcast days are ideal since direct sun hitting one portal can create harsh contrast that's difficult to manage. Be aware that this is an active rail line, so exercise serious caution, listen carefully, and never linger inside. Visit when trains are not expected, and keep your setup time minimal.
