Rising 484 meters above the West Kowloon waterfront, this gleaming supertall skyscraper is Hong Kong's tallest building and one of the most dramatic architectural subjects in the city. You can shoot it from multiple vantage points depending on the look you want: the promenade along the Avenue of Stars gives you a classic wide-angle composition with Victoria Harbour in the foreground, while crossing to Hong Kong Island and shooting from the Central waterfront lets you frame it against the Kowloon skyline. Blue hour is the sweet spot here, when the tower's glass facade catches the last of the twilight and the building's crown lights up against a deep blue sky. A 24-70mm lens covers most angles well, though a longer focal length helps isolate the upper floors from across the harbour. The tower also houses the Ritz-Carlton sky lobby, which offers a rare elevated perspective looking down on the surrounding city. (West Kowloon, Hong Kong, China)
