About Jarlens Grund (Strandhave Jolleanlæg)
Jarlens Grund is a quiet strip of greenspace on the Øresund shore at Espergærde. It's a little gem of grass tucked away under big old trees, small sailing dinghies pulled up on the turf and little wooden pier that all pair well with its peaceful view over the shoreline. The wooden pier is the perfect location to set up and experiment with using it as leading lines out into the endless feeling bay. This shore faces east, so it's a sunrise spot. The sun comes up straight out of the sound with the Swedish coast sitting low on the horizon, and the water is usually quite still first thing. Grey days give an entirely different feeling to your shot when the jetty and the sea go almost monochrome and the whole place feels eerily quiet. (Espergærde, Capital Region, Denmark)
