Frederiksborg Castle
Frederiksborg Castle rises dramatically from a series of lakes in the center of Hillerød, its red-brick towers and copper spires reflecting across the calm water to create one of the most striking castle compositions in Scandinavia. The classic shot is from the causeway approach, where the symmetrical facade lines up perfectly with the lake in the foreground, especially effective with a wide angle lens that pulls in both the reflection and the full spread of the building. Early morning gives you the best light and glassy water before wind picks up, and the low sun catches the copper details beautifully.
