Katskhi Column is a natural limestone monolith about 40m high with ruins of an early medieval hermitage dating from the 9th or 10th century on top. There are two main vantage points to shoot it, from afar as it begins to appear over the tree line or from the bottom (be sure to check out the adorable chapel at the bottom too). Note - you can’t climb the column because an isolated monk lives on top. (Katskhi, Georgia)
