The turquoise lake in the crater of the Kawah Ijen volcano looks serene and inviting. It also happens to be the world's largest acidic lake. At night you can see large blue flames. This blue fire is ignited sulfuric gas, which emerges from cracks at temperatures up to 600 °C. (Ijen, East Java, Indonesia)
