About Kimball Castle
Kimball Castle is the former summer estate of railroad magnate Benjamin Ames Kimball. It is located on a prominent hill overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee in the town of Gilford. The medieval-style castle stands is privately owned and no longer part of the Charlotte Kimball trust. is posted with No Trespassing signs and is not open to the public. The castle has been condemned by the town of Gilford as unsafe, and the town has issued a make safe order to the owners requiring them to keep it fenced in until they raze the castle. -from Wikipedia
