Kings Creek Falls
Kings Creek Falls, located in the remote stretches of Sumter National Forest near the Chattooga River, is a stunning 70-foot cascade surrounded by lush hardwood forest. This serene destination rewards photographers with the chance to capture a classic Southern Appalachian waterfall framed by mossy rocks and dense greenery. The moderate 1-mile hike to the falls follows a scenic trail along Kings Creek, offering plenty of opportunities for stream and woodland photography along the way. Best visited in spring or after rainfall, the flow is strongest then, creating dynamic long-exposure shots.
