Klepzig Mill is a small turbine mill that was built in 1928—named for the man who made it, Walter Klepzig. The mill once was used as a sawmill, and Walter developed a reputation for being an industrious and generous man. The mill is an excellent example of what was once a standard construction in the region but has largely since disappeared from the Ozarks. The Klepzig Mill's beautiful setting nestled among the trees at the edge of the rocky part of the river makes it a fantastic photography subject (especially in the autumn as the leaves begin to change colour). The mill is a bit off the beaten path; a 4x4 is recommended to access it. (Winona, Missouri, USA)
