Kleva Shoreline

Kleva Shoreline - Photo by poh__photo1 / 1

Kleva Shoreline is a rugged stretch of the Swedish West Coast where wave-smoothed granite meets the open sea, creating a naturally dramatic foreground for wide coastal compositions. The rounded rocks are the real draw here, their curves and textures leading your eye naturally toward the water and the layered horizon beyond. Shoot low and close to the rocks to maximize their presence in the frame, using a wide angle lens to pull in both the immediate detail and the expansive sky above. Long exposures work beautifully, softening the water between the boulders and adding a sense of motion to an otherwise still scene. Golden hour light rakes across the rock surfaces and adds warm contrast, though overcast days can also work well by keeping reflections subtle and tones even. The shoreline is walkable and relatively accessible, giving you room to explore multiple angles along the coast. (Kleva, Västra Götaland, Sweden)
