Lake Helen
Lake Helen is a tranquil high alpine lake with rich turquoise waters circled by a lush meadow dotted with wildflowers. It is a long hike into the lake (roughly 12km roundtrip) but the views of the lake and along the hike are breathtaking - definitely worth the effort. Once you arrive at the lake take the extra effort to continue up the headwall which is another 280ms or so. Views from the headwall towards Dolomite Peak, Cirque Peak, Mount Hector, Wapta Icefields, Bow Valley and Helen Lake are stunning.
