Lake Serene
Lake Serene is a small alpine lake tucked away in the thick forest with rich turquoise waters. Across the water the cliffs of Mount Index rise 3,000 feet straight up and where snow is usually piled at the base after a winter full of avalanches. The Lake Serene trail is can be quite popular on nice days so you should try to arrive early to miss the crowds on the way up. On your way to the lake be sure to stop and shoot Bridal Veil Falls.
