The Landis log cabin is a replica of a Willamette National Forest service fire guard station built nearby in 1918 by C. J. Landis and Smith Taylor. The original cabin was destroyed in 1969. This replica cabin was built in 1972 by the Forest Service and a Neighbourhood Youth Corps. It is located in a meadow near the Box Canyon Guard Station along the Aufderheide Scenic Drive (Forest Service Road 19). (Willamette National Forest, Oregon, USA)
