Legzira Beach is famous for its dramatic natural stone arches that rise directly from the Atlantic surf, creating one of the most striking coastal scenes in Africa. The rusted red and ochre tones of the eroded rock contrast beautifully against the deep blue ocean, giving you rich color even on overcast days. Position yourself low on the wet sand at low tide to include reflections beneath the arches, or wade into the shallow surf to shoot back toward the cliffs with the arches framing the sky. Golden hour light, especially in the late afternoon, saturates the warm tones of the rock and casts long shadows that add depth to the scene. A wide angle lens works well to capture the full scale of the arches, though a mid-range zoom lets you compress the layers of rock and water. Check tide tables before visiting, as low tide opens up the best foreground access. (Sidi Ifni, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Morocco)
