Leigh Lake

Leigh Lake, tucked away in Grand Teton National Park, is a serene glacial lake framed by the towering peaks of Mount Moran and the Cathedral Group. Known for its exceptionally clear water and peaceful atmosphere, the lake offers incredible reflections of the Tetons, especially during sunrise when the light is soft and winds are calm. Accessible by a short, flat hike from the String Lake trailhead or by canoe for a more remote experience, Leigh Lake is ideal for wide-angle landscape shots and minimalist compositions. The area is less crowded than other park locations, making it a great spot for tranquil, undisturbed photography. Early morning visits provide the best light and mirror-like water conditions.
