Llyn Ogwen

Llyn Ogwen is a ribbon lake in north-west Wales. It lies alongside the A5 road between two mountain ranges of Snowdonia, the Carneddau and the Glyderau. It is a picturesque glacial lake framed by the rugged slopes of Tryfan and Pen yr Ole Wen. Llyn Ogwen offers easy parking and is a starting point for many walkers heading to the surrounding peaks. Dawn and dusk are particularly magical times for photography, when the soft light enhances the natural beauty and serenity of the area. The lake's accessibility makes it a popular spot, so early morning visits are recommended to avoid crowds and capture the peaceful atmosphere. Llyn Ogwen is a must-visit for landscape photographers looking to add dramatic Welsh scenery to their portfolios. (Snowdonia National Park, Wales)
