Luskentyre is a beautiful shooting gem made up of a sand beach backed by sand dunes that rise to over 35 metres above sea level, then a meadow further inland that is a blaze of colour in early summer. Here the dunes get added to or eroded by passing storms, great troughs open up along the beach creating deep pools that trap the outgoing tide and the sand itself is transformed into beautiful rolling textures by the Atlantic winds.
