Meret Oppenheim Fountain
Meret Oppenheim Fountain is a creation by the artist Meret Oppenheim that stands eight meters high on the Waisenhausplatz. What make the fountain truly unique are the plants and tuff deposits that thrive around the column. In summer, when a cushion of moss and wild grasses cover the concrete, the fountain looks like a big green monster, whereas in winter, when the ice and cold has its grip the column reminds one of a butterfly in a cocoon.
