Missouri State Penitentiary
Missouri State Penitentiary is a former maximum security prison that operated from 1836 to 2004. It was the oldest operating penal facility west of the Mississippi River. Portions of the prison have been maintained as a museum with guided tours of its cell blocks, yard & gas chamber. Tours are guided group tours unless you opt for the Private Photography tour were you can choose for what time you and your group want to allot to each section of the prison and you can take lighting equipment and models if you want.
