Mumbles Lighthouse
Mumbles Lighthouse was built in 1794 to guide vessels along the coast and into Swansea Bay, past the hazards of the Mixon Shoal ½ mile to the South. It sits scenically on the outer of two islands off Mumbles Head, making it clearly visible from any point along the five mile sweep of Swansea Bay. (The Mumbles, Wales)
