Museo de las Identidades Leonesas (the MIL) is a history museum within the old municipal jail. The building itself is eye catching with its pink cantera stone. Prisoners were held here from 1902 until 1986. The front features many intricate architectural details like iron gates, pairs of columns, small window balconies and carvings everywhere. Inside, Cell 18 is the only cell that has been kept exactly it was with even the original door and number still on it. The space is small and dark so you'll want to get into a corner, go wide, and let the doorway do the lighting. Plus plan on using a fast lens. The museum route takes you all the way from the punishment cells through the exhibition halls, so there's an easy natural order to shoot. Entry is free, but it is closed on Mondays.
