Oldway Mansion
Oldway Mansion is a historic mansion surrounded by sprawling gardens tucked away in the heart of Paignton. It was built as a private residence for Isaac Singer (founder of the Singer sewing machine company), and rebuilt by his son in a much grander style, inspired by the Palace of Versailles. The home appears to be sitting empty as it slowly falls into disrepair awaiting refurbishment by the city but the grounds are open to explore and the house is still quite photogenic.
