Ontario Point, Canada Water
Ontario Point is a sleek residential tower rising above the Canada Water regeneration zone, its angular form and glass facade making it a strong subject for urban architecture photography. You get the best compositions by stepping back toward the dock itself, where the still water in front of the basin gives you a clean reflection of the tower on calm days. Try shooting from a low angle along the waterfront to emphasize the building's height, or use the surrounding walkways to frame it against the sky with a wide angle lens. A 24-70mm range covers most compositions well here. Blue hour works particularly well, when the tower's lit windows contrast against a deep blue sky and the water picks up the glow. The area is flat and fully accessible, just a short walk from Canada Water station on the Jubilee Line and Overground. (Canada Water, London, England)
