Otto Wagner Pavillon
The Otto Wagner Pavillon is one of two ornate Art Nouveau pavilions designed by Otto Wagner in 1899, originally serving as entrances to Vienna's city railway. The buildings sit at Karlsplatz and are among the finest examples of Jugendstil architecture in the city, featuring white marble panels, gold detailing, and delicate green metalwork that reward close-up detail shots as much as wider compositions. Shoot from ground level to isolate the curved roofline against the sky, or step back to frame both pavilions together with the Karlskirche dome visible in the background. Morning light works best, hitting the gold accents before the surrounding plaza gets crowded with commuters and tourists. A standard zoom or short telephoto handles the architectural details well. The pavilions are right on the plaza with no barriers, so you can get close and explore different angles freely. (Vienna, Austria)
