Pedestrian Bridge

This small wooden footbridge crosses the Figgjo River where it meets the sea at Borestranda, offering a surprisingly versatile composition in a quiet coastal setting. The bridge works well as a leading line drawing the eye toward the open water or back toward the grassy dunes and shoreline vegetation, depending on which direction you face. Get low to emphasize the wooden planks receding into the frame, or step back and use a wider lens to include the surrounding landscape and moody Norwegian sky. Overcast light, which is common here, softens everything and works well for capturing the green banks and dark water without harsh shadows. Golden hour adds warm tones that contrast nicely with the cool water below.
