Pfahlbauten Unteruhldingen (Pile Dwelling Museum)
Pfahlbauten Unteruhldingen is an open-air museum on Lake Constance featuring reconstructed prehistoric stilt houses based on ancient settlements from the Alpine region. The buildings extend out over the water and are connected by timber walkways, forming a compact village-like layout. Set directly along the lakeshore, the site combines historical reconstruction with open views across the water and surrounding landscape. Elevated paths and platforms provide clear sight lines across the structures, while the changing lake conditions and light add variation throughout the day. Easily accessible and well organized, it offers a distinct cultural setting along the northern shore of Lake Constance. (Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, Germany)
