About Pluto's Cave
Pluto's Cave is a partially collapsed lava tube on the northern outskirts of Mount Shasta. Its main entrance is located close to the 99-97 Cutoff. The road to the trailhead is pretty rough - metallic letters spelling out “Pluto cave” are nailed by the telephone pole by the dirt road. The trail from the small parking lot is fairly easy to follow, these caves are rugged and dark so wear proper shoes and bring strong flashlights. (Montague, California, USA)
