About Quebec Bridge
A road, rail and pedestrian bridge across the lower Saint Lawrence River. The project failed twice, at the cost of 88 lives, and took over 30 years to complete the first collapsing in 1907, the second in 1916. It was finally completed in 1919 and remains the longest cantilevered bridge in the world.
