Red Rock Lake is a peaceful mountain lake tucked away in the Brainard Lake Recreational Area that offers incredible reflections - great at sunrise or sunset. This quiet little gem is often missed as people pass right by it on the way to Brainard Lake, but it is well worth a stop. The area is open all summer and into October. The park will close and gates shut sometime in mid-October, but you can still hike, snowshoe or cross-country ski is you want to shoot this area in the winter months. (Ward, Colorado, USA)
