The Riga Central Market is one of Europe’s largest markets. Opened in the 1930s, its five main pavilions were built using repurposed Zeppelin hangars, giving the space a distinctive look and feel. Inside, each hall focuses on different goods, from fresh produce and meat to fish, dairy, and baked items, all sold by local vendors. The curved ceilings, long aisles, and rows of stalls create leading lines and depth. Outside, the surrounding market area and nearby canal add more angles to explore. It’s an easy place to walk through, whether you’re there for photos or to pick up fresh food. (Riga, Latvia)
