The Sanibel Island Lighthouse is a unique skeletal iron tower that was first lit in 1884. The lighthouse sits on the end of a sandy point with a beautiful view over the surrounding bay. As a bonus this is a great spot to experiment with astrophotography as the bay is quite quiet in the evening hours. (Sanibel, Florida)
