The Sarajevo bobsled track was originally built for the 1984 Winter Olympics. After the Olympics the track was used for World Cup competitions until the start of the Yugoslav wars in 1991 that would include the Bosnian War the following year. The track was damaged as a result of Siege of Sarajevo. During the siege, the track was used as an artillery position by Bosnian Serb forces. The tracks remain mostly intact but completely unused since the seige - slowly being overgrown, covered by graffiti and there are even bullet holes in some sections. The tracks are now quite accessible from the cable car up to Trebevic mountain and then a short walk. (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina)
