Spiš Castle
Spiš Castle, one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe, sits high on a limestone hill above the village of Žehra in eastern Slovakia. Its towering walls, crumbling towers, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside make it a powerful subject for both wide landscape shots and detailed architectural compositions. Photographers can shoot from below to capture the full scale of the castle against the sky or hike the surrounding trails for elevated perspectives. The site is especially photogenic at sunrise or sunset, when warm light enhances the texture of the stone and the landscape below. Open seasonally, the castle is accessible by car with parking nearby, followed by a short uphill walk to the entrance. (Žehra, Prešov Region, Slovakia)
