Stanwick Lakes
Stanwick Lakes is a unique 750 acre countryside attraction and nature reserve located in the heart of Northamptonshire’s Nene Valley. The nature reserve features a network of surfaced paths lead you away from the hustle and bustle of the hub area to the wider site where you can watch the wildlife undisturbed. Stanwick Lakes is a fantastic place to visit for anyone keen on bird photography. It is known for its abundance of wildlife, in particular its overwintering birds. Three bird hides provide the ideal opportunity to watch them undisturbed in their natural setting. Species commonly seen include Wigeon, Gadwall, Teal, Greylag Goose and Moorhen. If you’re lucky you may see Smew, Redshank or Little Egret. The bird feeding station also offers a quiet space where smaller birds such as Long-tailed Tit, Chaffinch, Greater Spotted Woodpecker and Greenfinch can be seen. (Stanwick, England)
