About Strand Cadzand-Bad (Cadzand Beach)
Cadzand Beach (Strand Cadzand-Bad) is a long, wide stretch of pale sand in Cadzand-Bad. Grassy dunes sit just behind the beach and run all the way to the Zwin Nature Reserve. The sand slopes so gently that low tide widens the beach even more and the wet sand picks up reflections of the sky. Rows of weathered wooden posts run out into the sea, and create amazing leading lines out into the endless feeling water. They are also the perfect spot to experiment with using a long exposure as the tide comes in around them to smooth out the water. Stay for sunset, when the sky and the wet sand light up together. Sections of the beach are dotted with white beach huts that add amazing pops of contrast along the wide, pale sand. For a view from above you can explore the dune boulevard along the top of the dike. Paths cross the dunes from town, and the beach is open to walk anytime so you can find just the right light to match your shooting style. Check the tide times before you go, since low tide is when this beach really shines. (Cadzand, Zeeland, Netherlands)
