"The Wandering" in Stadium Park
The Wandering is a 190m long stone artwork by British land artist Chris Drury, tucked away in the northern section of Stadium Park. Constructed from 460 tonnes of Toodyay and Donnybrook stone, the meandering form reflects the flow of the nearby Swan River, creating a harmonious blend of art, landscape, and ecology. Drought resistant Indigenous plants are embedded within the structure, transforming it into living art that changes subtly with the seasons. The piece offers photographers a unique opportunity to capture organic lines, textured stone surfaces, and native flora against the expansive parkland setting. (Perth, Western Australia, Australia)
