Theseustempel
Tucked into the heart of the Volksgarten, this neoclassical temple is one of Vienna's most elegant and overlooked architectural subjects. Modeled on the ancient Temple of Hephaestus in Athens, its clean Doric columns and symmetrical facade give you a strong sense of classical geometry to work with. Shoot straight on from the gravel path for a formal, balanced composition, or move to the sides to capture the columns in perspective and emphasize depth. The surrounding garden adds foreground interest, especially in spring when the rose beds are in bloom. Overcast days flatten harsh shadows and bring out the detail in the white limestone, though golden hour light from the west gives the stone a warm glow worth chasing. A 24-70mm lens covers most angles well. The park is publicly accessible and rarely crowded, giving you room to compose without interruption. (Vienna, Austria)
