Torra di Turghju is a 17th-century Genoese watchtower standing on the dramatic headland of Capu Rossu near Piana in Corsica, France. Perched high above the Mediterranean, the stone tower overlooks steep red granite cliffs and open sea, creating one of the island’s most striking coastal scenes. The hike to the tower follows a rocky trail with steady elevation gain, offering sweeping views throughout the ascent. From the summit, photographers can capture rugged cliff lines, turquoise water, and expansive horizons, especially in late afternoon when warm light intensifies the color of the rock. Access is via a marked trail from the Capu Rossu parking area, and sturdy footwear is recommended. (Piana, Corsica, France)
