Tumalo Falls
Tumalo Falls is a striking 97ft waterfall plunging over a basalt cliff along Tumalo Creek in the Deschutes National Forest near Bend, Oregon. A short walk from the parking area leads to an upper viewpoint offering a head on view of the falls, while a trail continues along the creek for different angles and additional cascades upstream. Surrounded by tall pines and rugged terrain, the area is ideal for capturing long exposure shots, especially in spring and early summer when the water flow is strongest. The falls are accessible by a forest road during the warmer months, though it may be closed in winter due to snow. It's a popular but rewarding location for both landscape and nature photographers.
