Waddell Falls
Waddell Falls is one of the main waterfalls in Victoria Park in Truro flowing through a wooded gorge that helped shape the early development of the park. The falls are named after Susan Waddell Stevens, who donated the land in 1888, creating the foundation for what is now one of the area’s most popular green spaces. The waterfall itself spreads over a series of rock ledges, with smaller cascades and rapids nearby adding variety to the scene. It is an easy spot to reach using the park’s trail system, with viewpoints that let you shoot from above or closer to the base. The mix of flowing water, rock, and forest makes it a great location for both wide shots and detail work. Softer light or overcast conditions help keep the exposure balanced, and a slower shutter speed works well to bring out the movement in the water. (Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada)
