Butcher Hill Falls
Butcher Hill Falls is a picturesque roadside waterfall along Higgins Mill Road in Upper Stewiacke, where a small river drops over a broad rock ledge into a shallow pool below. The falls are easy to access, making it a quick stop if you are passing through the area. The water spreads out across the rock face, giving you a wide cascade that works well for simple, balanced compositions or closer shots of the flowing water. You can move around the edge of the falls to adjust your angle, depending on water levels and footing. It is a good spot for long exposure photography, especially on overcast days when the light is softer and easier to manage. (Upper Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, Canada)
