Auckland Castle is a 900 year old castle that was one of the primary homes of the powerful Prince Bishops of Durham. The rooms are intricately decorated and feature some amazing paintings. The castle is also surrounded by scenic grounds filled with walking trails. (Bishop Auckland, England)
