Bø Beach

Bø Beach is a sweeping arc of white sand on Vesterålen, framed by jagged rocky outcrops and the cold blue waters of the Norwegian Sea, with the island peaks of Langøya rising in the background. The wide, open beach gives you plenty of room to work with foreground interest; look for wet sand at low tide to capture reflections of the sky and surrounding peaks, or position yourself near the rocks at either end of the cove for a natural frame. The summer midnight sun is the main draw here, bathing the scene in warm golden light for hours without actually setting, while stormy days bring dramatic clouds and moody contrast.
