Built in 1855, Blenheim Covered Bridge is one of the longest remaining single-span covered wooden bridges in the world, stretching over Schoharie Creek in a quiet rural valley in upstate New York. The bridge's weathered timber construction, twin arches, and red-brown tones make it a strong subject in any season, and the surrounding creek and tree-lined banks give you plenty to work with beyond the structure itself. Shoot from the creek bed or shoreline to capture the full span reflected in calm water, or position yourself inside the bridge to use the tunnel framing for shots looking out toward the valley. Fall foliage transforms this location dramatically, with warm colors filling the hillsides behind the bridge. A wide to standard focal length works well here. Parking is close by and access to the creek banks is straightforward, though water levels affect how close you can get to the best reflection angles. (North Blenheim, New York, United States)
