Lake Trail (West) View
Myosotis Lake offers a quiet, reflective surface framed by dense deciduous forest, and the western trail gives you elevated shoreline vantage points that are hard to find elsewhere on the lake. Look for gaps in the tree line where you can position the water in the foreground with forested hills rolling behind it; a wide angle lens works well for capturing the full sweep of the scene, while a short telephoto lets you compress the layers of trees reflecting in the water. Early morning is ideal when mist often sits low over the surface and the light is soft and diffused; golden hour in fall is exceptional when the surrounding maples and birches turn. The trail is well-maintained and easy to walk, so you can cover ground quickly and find your preferred composition. Bring polarizing filter to cut glare and deepen the reflection.
