Cascada Lolaia
Cascada Lolaia is a picturesque waterfall tucked within the pristine wilderness of Retezat National Park in southwestern Romania. Surrounded by dense forest and rugged terrain, the waterfall plunges over rocky ledges into a serene pool, offering photographers a dynamic subject framed by mossy boulders and vibrant greenery. The trail to the falls is an easy 20-minute hike from the main road near Cârnic, making it an accessible spot for nature and landscape photography. The best light occurs in the morning or late afternoon, when sunlight filters through the trees and enhances the waterfall’s texture and motion. Spring and early summer are ideal, when water flow is strongest and the surrounding flora is lush and vibrant. (Retezat National Park, Romania)
