Corvin Castle
Corvin Castle, also known as Hunyadi Castle, is one of the most beautiful castles in Romania and one of the largest castles in Europe. Its construction began in 1440, and it was designed as a defense fortress against the Ottoman Empire. Many say that Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here during his exile. The beautifully preserved structure features a sumptuous Knights' Hall, an impressive drawbridge, high buttresses, inner courtyards, a chapel and some 50 rooms filled with medieval art.
