Chicago Cultural Center
Preston Bradley Hall inside the Chicago Cultural Center is one of the most spectacular interior spaces in the United States, anchored by a breathtaking 38-foot Tiffany stained glass dome that fills the room with colored light. Position yourself directly beneath the dome and shoot straight up with a wide-angle lens, around 16-24mm, to capture the full circular pattern and intricate detail. You can also step back toward the walls to frame the dome within the arched architecture below it. Midday is actually ideal here since natural light filtering through the glass is at its most vibrant, casting rich tones across the hall. The building is free to enter and open most days, making it easy to visit without crowds by arriving shortly after opening. A tripod helps in the lower-light areas, though handheld shooting works well directly under the dome itself. (Chicago, Illinois, United States)
