Clements Mountain rises dramatically above the Logan Pass area in Glacier National Park, offering one of the most striking alpine backdrops in the American Rockies. The peak's layered sedimentary rock face, streaked with reds and grays, photographs beautifully from the Hidden Lake Overlook trail, where you can frame the summit against the glacially carved valley below. A wide angle lens works well here to capture the full sweep of the ridgeline alongside wildflower meadows in summer. Early morning light rakes across the rock face and adds depth and texture to the cliffs, while alpenglow at dusk can turn the summit a vivid orange. The trailhead starts at the Logan Pass visitor center, which fills quickly, so arrive before 8am or use the park shuttle. Snow lingers into July, which adds foreground interest and keeps the scene feeling wild and remote. (Glacier National Park, Montana, United States)
